Every year we are privileged to grow our charity’s network in the most unforgettable places. Developing successful partnerships and relationships in this network is one of the central pillars of our work. It allows us to support a growing number of young people through our programmes.
We met Terry and Barbara Woods in 2013. Since then, they have been dedicated supporters of our charity with Terry and Barbara becoming Change Foundation Ambassadors in 2019.
This year, Terry and Barbara went one step further and generously selected The Change Foundation and the Teenage Cancer Trust as the charitable causes for the United Charitable Foundation’s Fundraising Gala. The foundation is an extension of United Business Group, a technology services organisation of which Terry is the Chief Executive. United Charitable Foundation supports two other wonderful charities, the Ann Conroy Trust and the Chris Donovan Trust.
The gala was a celebration from start to finish, with five outstanding entertainment performances taking place throughout the night. This included a welcome from celebrity host Keith Lemon, a live musical performance from the talented West End Kids, a spoken word performance performed by Lauren; a cancer survivor representing the Teenage Cancer Trust young representative, a live auction and raffle ceremony led by Keith Lemon and hours of dancing to the world best cover band Bootleg Beatles band.
Keith Lemon’s wit and humour paired with our in-house MC Alex Bassan (our talented Director of Business Development) meant the audience laughed, networked and fundraised throughout the evening with the understanding that every penny raised would support vulnerable or under-supported young people.
Thank you to everyone that supported the event either by attending, bidding or donating. Your support is greatly appreciated by all of us at The Change Foundation.
We would also like to give a special thank you to the United Charitable Foundation founders Terry and Barbara Woods, all at Teenage Cancer Trust, the Berkeley Group volunteers, everyone that donated prizes, Event Coordinator Sophie Harrison , photographer Simon Winson, videographer Chris Smith-Langridge (Roam-Captures), United Business Group Marketing Manager Rob Webb and Event Manager Katie Skinner.
Your support allows us to continue changing young lives.
