It’s been a busy week for our Street Elite programme participants! They’ve been put through their paces (paddles and peddles) in a week of community engagement challenges.

The Street Elite programme structure transitions through the following phases: Recruitment > Training and Mentoring > Community Engagement >  Street Elite Festival/Graduation > Work Placement > Future.

The Community Engagement phase encourages young people to engage with their local communities whilst testing our the various employability skills they have learnt with their Coach Mentors.

Over 50 young people grasped the engagement opportunity by kayaking down the Thames or taking on the kart racing track at TeamSport’s Mitcham based karting venue.

By encouraging the young people to engage in these opportunities, our Coach Mentors created a safe space for everyone to introduce themselves to prospective employers and meet new friends from other 2023 Street Elite cohorts.

All of the young people had an incredible time and look forward to meeting each other again at the various Street Elite festivals taking place this summer.
