Netball 4 Change
Beyond improving mental health, it builds teamwork, communication and leadership skills.
Aim & Who
Netball 4 Change uses the power of netball to teach girls and young women about social media safety and self-confidence. It’s designed for those feeling pressure from online platforms, struggling with body image or anxious about online scrutiny.
Why it’s needed
Research shows 1 in 3 teenage girls report that social media negatively affects their mental health. Young participants often tell us, “I feel like I can’t be myself online without getting judged.” Many feel anxious, isolated, or pressured to meet impossible standards.
Impact
Through weekly netball sessions and guided conversations, young women learn safe online habits, digital resilience and self-worth. Beyond improving mental health, it builds teamwork, communication and leadership skills. Young women report increased confidence both on and off the court, and stronger ability to navigate digital spaces safely.
