World Refugee Day 2024

In 2009 we launched our ‘Refugee Cricket Project’ which is still ongoing today which engages children seeking asylum by giving them the chance to develop their cricket skills and meet their friends in a safe environment.

Since then we have continued over the years to support young refugees seeking asylum or being displaced by war.

In 2016 we launched a programme for Syrian refugees in Lebanon in partnership with Muslim Hands. We used Street20 cricket to bring stability and positivity to the lives of traumatised children living in the Bekaa Valley.

Now more recently we started our Ukraine Refugee Sports Project which started in 2022 in Poland to create and run a safe site for children and their parents/guardians so the children could be children and play games and sports while it gave time for the parents/guardians to sort things out, then it moved back to the UK to run these sports camps for the Ukrainian refugees in the UK to mingle, have fun and to be in a space where they can enjoy themselves and to feel a sense of community in a place they is new to them.

Our team are officially qualified to deliver 14 sports. We look forward to using each of them to help support more young people displaced by war, conflict or climate disasters.
