Success at Wine Tasting hosted by the Berkeley Foundation

On Tuesday 18th October, The Berkeley Foundation hosted a very successful Wine Tasting evening at the spectacular Drapers Hall in Central London raising money for the life changing work of The Change Foundation. The Berkeley Foundation invited their partners and colleagues to enjoy a fine wine challenge, a meal and an auction to support the work of The Change Foundation. The evening concluded with a raffle, which was drawn by our President, Phil Tufnell and our CEO, Andy Sellins, as well as a live auction with 16 prizes which included; a Brian O’Driscoll signed Ireland rugby shirt and a place on an oversea development trip with The Change Foundation. The evening raised a phenomenal amount of money equaling to £63,000.

Harry Lewis, Managing Director for Berkeley Home (South East London) and The Change Foundation Trustee said “I am very proud to represent The Change Foundation as a trustee and it was great to host a wine tasting challenge for partners and colleagues from The Berkeley Group, raising money for a very worthy cause. We raised a fantastic amount of money and I know it will go towards changing the lives of many young people.”

Two graduates from our Street Elite programme, which is funded by the Berkeley Foundation, spoke of the impact that The Change Foundation had on their lives. Alfala Syl-Turay said “the Street Elite programme gave me a sense of direction, got me into a routine and has supported me in gaining full-time employment.” Jez Santos said “Henry (Street Elite coach mentor) is amazing; he is available on the phone anytime and believes in me. Top guy he is.”

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Berkeley Foundation and their guests for being part of a very successful evening and for the generosity shown in support of The Change Foundation.
