Sutton Business Awards

We were humbled to be Highly Commended in the Sutton Business Awards on the evening of Friday 14th June.  At a very polished event in Sutton Holiday Inn, The Change Foundation were shortlisted in the “Best Charity or Social Enterprise” category for the work we do in the local community.  Despite working all over the world, we put huge effort into making sure that the London Borough of Sutton, our home, is always well supported.

Currently we run 5 programmes locally as well as welcoming The Link School to use our facilities for sport sessions. Purley Cricket Club and Trinity Oxley Cricket Club use our cricket pitch as one of their home grounds and we rent out our indoor cricket nets to approximately 20 local clubs.

Our Sutton-based programmes are:

Walking Sports: Football, Cricket and Netball for over-55s.

Girls Win: A sports club for girls and young women with a disability from 16-19 years old.

London Futures South: An employability programme for young people with a disability.

Co-op Loneliness Research: Exploration of future ideas for The Cricket Centre and how we can reduce youth loneliness.

Refugee Cricket Project: Cricket and advocacy for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.

On the night of the awards we were pipped to the accolade by the excellent local organisation Sutton Housing Society, but are very happy to be Highly Commended for all of the work that we do, and particularly for our Walking Sports programme. We offer our congratulations to all of the shortlisted organisations and winners.
