Street Elite News
This month we have 2 pieces of Street Elite news to share with you. Firstly, March is always one of the most exciting months for the new Street Elite cohorts as they get their hands on their new Street Elite tracksuits. It is a real time of bonding for the group, both with each other and with their coach mentors. They really start to feel part of a team (sometimes for the first time) and trust grows in everyone. This year they are definitely on point (do people still say that?) as modelled above by the White City cohort. A smile wouldn’t go a miss though lads, eh?
As part of the Mercedes-Benz First Move initiative to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, Rio, from our Peckham cohort, was recently invited to Mercedes Benz World at the historic race circuit, Brooklands, to pitch his business idea. He was pitching to senior leaders at Mercedes-Benz in the UK, and Dumi Oburota – Director of Disturbing London, who co-founded the record label and cultural consultancy team alongside his cousin Tinie Tempah. In addition, he was treated to a tour of the museum and an on-track experience with a professional driver. Despite being only 17 years old, he put a huge effort into research for his presentation and showed how mature and funny he was during his pitch. The executives were so impressed that he has been offered work experience at Disturbing London. Well done Rio, here he is during his presentation.
