Job Alert! Walking Cricket Coach
Walking Cricket Coach
The Change Foundation
One session a week
£50 per session includes set up, delivery and mixing with group afterwards. Contracted on self- employed basis
The Change Foundation, a charity that uses sport and dance to change the lives of young people is looking for an experienced cricket coach to run a new weekly walking cricket session for over 55’s men and women. The session will be run at The Cricket Centre in Plough Lane, Wallington Surrey SM6 8JQ where we have good indoor and outdoor facilities. We already run a successful weekly walking football session and are looking to build on this by introducing a new sport.
Walking cricket is a slower version of cricket that uses a softer ball and where players can’t run.
The coach will plan and lead a 1.5 hour session with fun warm up exercises and games to build fitness and cricket skills and communication in the group. An important aspect of the sessions is the friendship and socialising therefore it is essential that the coach always stays afterwards for a chat and a cup of tea with the group.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified cricket coach who would enjoy the challenge of working with a new version of cricket and with an older group.
We are looking to start sessions during the day in March. The day and time are to be agreed.
If you are interested in applying please send your cv and a covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org asap and at the latest by 28 th February 2018.
