Post: Communications and Events Officer

Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working hours/Contract: Full time

Reporting to: The Change Foundation Director of Design and Impact

Role purpose:
To support the work of The Change Foundation, an innovative award winning charity improving the lives of marginalised, young people in London, the UK and across the world using the power of sport and dance.

The Change Foundation is looking for an ambitious person who has the drive and passion to enhance the charity’s digital communications, potential of donor engagement and play a specific operational role in the planning and execution of the charities 40th anniversary events and celebrations.

The Change Foundation is always adapting, evolving, innovating and moves fast. We are looking for someone to join the team who is excited by variety and challenge with a passion to change young people’s lives for the better by understanding the issues that affect them most in society today.

Key responsibilities:
 To co-ordinate The Change Foundation’s 40th anniversary events and celebrations.
 To be responsible for the charity’s daily and weekly media communications.
 To coordinate donor engagement including press, funders, corporate volunteers and fundraisers.
 To administer the charity’s fundraising events and challenges.
 To support the Director of Design and Impact on the charity’s programme operations.

The person:
Essential skills:
 Excellent organisational skills
 Excellent level of IT literacy and excellent working knowledge of using PCs/mobile, the internet and other digital technologies/platforms
 Excellent administration skills
 Ability to write and generate content for all charity communications
 Knowledge and experience of event management
 Ability to develop innovative and relevant social media content
 Ability to analyse social media insights to guide future campaigns
 Project management
 At least one year’s experience in communications and events

Desirable skills:
 Experience of managing people and partners
 Knowledge of the sport for development sector
 Fundraising experience
 Creating and editing video content
