Chris Gayle Academy lads get chance of a life time!
Whilst the England cricket team have been battling away in the Cricket World Cup Down Under, two of the Chris Gayle Academy London players, Vishaal and Prithvi, have also been in Australia playing club cricket in Western Australia for Curtin Victoria Park Redbacks. The lads have been working hard on their game and developing their coaching skills by helping to coach the clubs junior section.
Prior to the CwC15 Group B game against India at the WACA, Vishaal and Prithvi were invited by Chris Gayle to take part in training with the WI squad.
Prithvi, a promising leg spinner said, ‘It was an incredible experience and something that I will never forget. It was a real honour and has certainly motivated me to win even harder at my game’.
Vishaal, a fine Wicket-keeper batsman, revealed, ‘It was brilliant, I think I have passed on some of my wisdom to the Windies batsman! Watch out Johnson and Starc! Haha!’
The lads return home soon and will take up a mentoring role within the London based Chris Gayle Academy which is currently training hard at the Peter May Centre in East London.
