Bringing The World Together Through Street Cricket

The 9th Inner City World Cup will take place on Friday 29 August at The MCC Indoor School at Lord’s Cricket Ground. The annual event, run by Cricket for Change and sponsored by Investec, brings together young Londoners from different communities through cricket to teach them about different cultures, encourage community cohesion and friendship.  The Inner City World Cup as a ‘Street20’cricket competition, and young people choose to represent either their own country of birth or their parent’s country of birth.

Last year’s winners Bangladesh will compete alongside England, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the West Indies in the hotly contested main competition throughout the morning. Following this, the second half of the day will see teams mix together for an afternoon of fun and entertainment.
